But what I stated above are the real facts and the real India. This is what I can say from my limitted experience from one state in India and this country have a few dozen more states and 1 billion people.

India needs to ratify convention against torture asap

Many organisations in India, like the Peoples' Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR), based in Varanasi (UP) are fighting against torture by carrying out the "Testimonial campaign" to contribute to eliminate impunity for perpetrators of torture on a large scale in India. The PVCHR had widened the testimonial campaign in Manipur with Wide Angle.

The Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu, is directed to inform the Commission of the status of the inquiry by the Inquiry Commission within four weeks. He should further forward to the Commission proof of payment of the announced relief to the NOK of the persons who died in the police firing. The Additional Director, CBI, Chennai, is also directed to inform the Commission of the current status in the case within four weeks.
